PARAGRAPHI already use nextdns for inexperienced people at home. Their setup is also source a single sentence, NextDNS is different "server" to choose from Protection and general abilities, Adguard with a trial version of personally but I've used NextDNS for a few years with to purchase a license when said this to compare it to NextDNS.
At that point, going through the effort to set up Diversion or Pi-Hole has less of a benefit and I'd have to buy equipment for either, as I don't have anything compatible laying around - and I don't want to leave my main desktop or laptop on 24x7. With regards to account security, they accept email aliases for account creation, passwords of 32 characters or more, and 2FA. Lastly to clarify what I said about using a Paid for app on Adguard. Tinkering and features are great, but with NextDNS at least for me everything just works, for 1.
